The call is what I expected and I’m sure it will work. I am still trying to get the hang of producing a clear and accurate bob white tone. Hopefully I can master it soon and be able to get the birds to call back to me.

We don't have a lot of bobs where I live, not really even enough to hunt sustainably. But I like to know they're around, and it makes me smile when I hear them or see them. I bought this call to help me locate coveys, and though I haven't had the opportunity to test it in the field yet, it's easy to use, has good volume, and sounds right. My current favorite non-field use is to blow it in my wife's unsuspecting ear from behind. While it doesn't make her jump as much as would, say, a jackrabbit in distress call, the resulting backswing is also a little easier to dodge.
